Description 8 week old arctic fox kit (Snowflake, I believe, which is a female) from the Wolf Mountain Nature Center.  Babysitting the kits for an afternoon definitely ranks as one of the highlights of my life.

They've all gotten so much fluffier now and are starting to turn more white! Definitely adorable! (Although not really cuddly... fox kits are more like cat kittens and they prefer not to be held, unlike wolf or coyote pups being hand-reared).

Well, speaking as one who's owned cat kittens....
I wanna cuddle her! ^^
Oh, by the way, did you know they're starting to domesticate foxes as pets? It was in National Geographic, like a year ago maybe.

Haha, they are pretty cute.  I was really happy that I got a few chances to work with them this summer in socializing.

I have seen some things about it!  I'm not surprised, really.  Foxes aren't particularly aggressive and they're curious so after enough generations, you can remove the fear/skittishness of humans out of them.
