Am I the only one who felt this new generation, as awesome as it is, was actually a big Kanto throwback (with quite a bit of hoenn as well)?

Most of Mega Evolutions are from Kanto, the Team Flare base reminds me of Rocket's Hideout with all those spinning pannels and, for god sake, we even get Kanto Starters!
Thus, with that line of thought, I drew some of the Mega Evolutions as if they were "HD" versions of Pokemon RBGY sprites. Some are really truthful to their origins (such as Kangaskhan and the Charizards - one based on the Yellow sprite and one based on Red's) but some just follow their overall concept and color pattern (such as Mawile's inspiration on Kingler's symmetrical design in one of the games). it was a really nice experience and I do intend to draw all the megas in this style, in case you've been wondering. And I'll also post them separately. Well, that's it for now, hope you're enjoying your game so far!

Oh yeah, and I've moved to the US, so I intend to make keychains out of those designs and sell them. More info as I progress on that
