I love the way his fur has this blue shimmer, makes him look dangerous and mystical

Wowww. and wow again. Amazing painting. Actually it's kinda beyond amazing! I love the focus on the face and the slight blur on the body- looks sublimley real!
But, and I'm sorry for nit-picking, I'm pretty sure this is a black jaguar. No such thing, scientifically speaking, as a panther, it's usually used to refer to a jaguar or maybe a leopard or a cougar. 
Doesn't detract in any way from this unbelivable painting though!

How dare you corre..... ha ha ha.. only joking. Is that right about there being no such thing as a black Panther... wow... I never knew that, and I love learning new things so thanks for that. I have to say I go round photos correcting people when they post a cheetah is a leopard etc. So what would you class this as? a black jaguar? I dont think you can be TOO nit picky with these things. Im the same over hawks and falcons. Thanks for the lovely comments and the education... any more animally facts and I would love to hear them... Paul

Yeah I have actually. The fur is unbelieveable! I did a painting of a tiger a few years ago and thought it was good at the time...then I looked back recently and....not so good
