--When the rain pours down on dry soil and fallen leaves, the air fills with a very distinct scent. To some it's simply a natural phenomenon after the storm, to some it's the reminder that the summer is gone.

Back a week or so, an inspiration struck me after taking a walk in the forest and realizing how in mere weeks everything turned from green to rust. And there's always that distinct smell of petrichor and dead leaves mixing. Who took mah summer away?

Fall is great. Here in hot, humid Virginia, I don't miss Summer going. As for the picture itself, it's beautiful and quaint at the same time. It captures the spirit of Fall well. Lovely.

This is magnificent. Everything about it speaks to me. From the happy blissful expression on AJ's face, to the wonderful work with the backgrounds. Having grown up in New England, from the moment I saw this image, I felt it - from the slight chill in the air, to the smell of fallen leaves, and that wonderful sense of peace and tranquility I always felt in a New England Fall. The barn looks like many barns I saw around Western Massachusetts, where I grew up. It brought back the wonderful scent of the sales room at an apple orchard as well. This is just stunning! I would love to have a copy to frame and mount on the wall. If that's possible, please message me.

That autumn smell is definitely a reminder that summer is gone in my case. But for me, that's a very good thing, because I hate summer and love fall. I really look forward to that smell, and that overall autumn vibe that accompanies it - A vibe that you captured very well here. If I wasn't already feeling it because it's actually that time of year as of the time I'm posting this, I'd still be feeling it by looking at this picture.
