Grand Duchess Olga Romanov, eldest daughter of Tsar Nicholas II and Alexandra. :3I decided to draw her after my mom got this book from Tita on the last Tsars of Russia, there was this great picture of her as a kid. I started to draw the base, got bored, and put it away for two weeks, then brought it back out and tried again. D:
Funny story- I was supposed to make the hair with a kneaded eraser for the strands, but I lost it. But while I was drawing, I was knitting (chyeah, random), and I used my knitting needle to carve lines into the shading. (You can see it worked like crap :'C).
Anyhoo, here are the closeups, they look much better than this

Actually, her name wasn't Olga Romanov. It's Olga Nicholaievna Romanova. Only males have the name of Romanov.

Oh my goodness! That's incredible! I knew exactly who it was before I even read your description. The shading on the face is very good, and her hair is lovely, that was definately a nice touch with the knitting needles.
