A common but often obscure animal, the Marmot is the largest rodent in North AmericaThey like to live among rock piles where they find the heavy weight of the rocks good protection from the digging claws of wolves, coyotes, and bears.

Marmots are so awesome. I love watching them waddle around... This one looks very serious. The only thing is, I think the largest NA rodent is the beaver.
