The loud, blaring music didn’t bother him at all. In fact, it was a necessity for him there he was, up on the stage, guitar in his hands and swinging his head to the music. An arm was casually thrown over his shoulders and he was pulled into the singers sweaty body, and the voice were singing seductively in his ear. The words and tone of voice were meant for the crowd, the push of the hard body into his, meant only for him. As a promise for later. A later that may or may not come. He kept telling himself that either way it didn’t matter. As long as he found a warm body to fuck, he didn’t care. Right? Right.

The show ended as it always did, with the crowd cheering and wanting more. Three times they were called back out there, and three times they went. After the third encore, he caught his singer stumbling from exhaustion, he grabbed him before he reached the floor. And still the crowds wanted more. “I’m okay,” the singer whispered in his ear and made the moves to turn back to the stage for yet another encore. The guitarist grabbed his arm and turned him back to face him. “No. No more encores tonight. You’re exhausted and you need to rest.” With a strong hold on the singers arm, he led him back to the wardrobe, went inside and closed the door. The singer just stood there. That was not normal for him, he was usually so pumped up after a show, more energized than the rest of the band put together. But not tonight. He looked almost dead on his feet.
“Listen, take a shower and get changed. then we’ll go back to the hotel so you can get some sleep. That will make you feel better,” the guitarist said to the singer.
