It's a very old animation... So, I don't remember at all in fact ! ^^' I'm sorry...
But the longer part is always the drawing part ! For the animation part it's pretty quick !

In fact, now I don't use the same drawing technique !
I no longer work with Illustrator in fact ! So, the rendering of my drawings is a bit different !
But Yes I always do similar animations !
Like here for example : A little blinking pagedoll ! ^^

Awww... And for the credit, you can simply write "Icon by Icarus-Skollsun" somewhere ! Like in your "Comment Signature" or in your "deviantID" or maybe in your "Tag Line" !
You can choose ! It's the same for me ! -^v^- 
If you don't know how edit this things :
For edit your "Comment Signature" You have to go in your "settings"
For edit the deviantID, you have to click on "edit this widget" in your profile page
For edit your "Tag Line" you have to click on "about" just under your icon on your profile page ! And after on the editing symbol ! ^^

Pour les yeux...c'est la couleur naturelle ahren n'y est pour rien X)
J'utilise adobe imageready ! ^^
Et je sais qu'il y a un décalage mais fait mieux un peu pour voir...non mais ! XD
