I used to call them Helicopters as a child, but like the Afrikaans version of it. We have an old VHS tape where we're looking at them fly around the river when i was small and my mom just taught me that word and i kept saying it, and then as i'm fixated with the bugs, you can hear my mom tell my dad on the other side of the camera 'sometimes i regret teaching her words'. One of my fondest memories tbh. XD
