she does have 2 legs. it is incredible what that does to the figure. the depth it gives it.
how conscious was this descision to draw both legs?
and there is more than that.
i see other subtle marks that show some progression.

oh yes, i have that one as a favorite too.
what is interesting is that a few years ago i did a series of figures in boxes.
that is why i faved that photo when i saw it.
so one more of the same directions we are having.

the 2nd leg was pretty conscious, i actually struggled and kept changing my mind until i finally drew it, i think i did want to give some depth, another attempt to get out of the box i have been building

i love black.
but without knowing what art book you are talking about i think i will agree with them about not using black and i never use black paint to mix with my colors. i NEVER use black paint. if i need black in a painting i will mix my own.
and that is a very different thing than using the black charcoal that i use in some of my work.

yes, i will give you that... with watercolor pencils it is difficult. blue and brown will do decent job. but yeah, that is not the easiest medium for that.

that is why i am in love with my prussion blue pencil! therefor gonna need a new one soon
