i think it's extremely overrated and bland, I know I'm with the unpopular opinion but that's really how I feel. It also annoys me when the superfans ponyfy everything, I get that it's all in fun but really? I think some aspects of the show are pretty clever but most of it just bores me. If you enjoy it, that's great, it's your fandom. A lot of people hate my fandom and think mine is overrated and I respect that. I'm not judging if you like that fandom, that's the beauty of it all, we all have different likes and dislikes, MLPFIM just isn't for me.

I'm in the Korra fandom, oh the stereotypes I hear about it. We are often stereotyped as hardcore shippers that will hostilely attack anyone who dares ship something else, and also we are accused of being staunch art critics who only expect the absolute best. Everyone also assumes that all Korra fans are registered democrats, not entirely true but most of us are.
What are your thoughts on the Sonic fandom?

I don't have issues with either. Every fandom has its out there fringe element. It's due to the human species tribal nature. Unfortunately some folks don't understand how to have a reasonable discussion or at least let people like what they like as long as it's not hurting others.
I've never gotten into the Korra thing though I've seen bits and pieces of it here and there and know enough to know it's well written and regarded. As far as Sonic goes while I never got into the SEGA games (due to epilepsy) or the cartoon (we didn't have cable when it aired) I like a lot of the artwork. In regards to the fandoms rep I think stigmatizing it because some people in it are a bit too fanatic or because some people like drawing Sonic porn is dumb. Not everyone's an asshole and drawn porn doesn't hurt anyone.
The characters are cute plus a good friend of mine does AMAZING art like this geckosfancies.deviantart.com/a… I might not know the characters but the emotion definitely comes through.
