Just to say, a Paladin is the best warrior in the galaxy.THEY ARE THE STRONGEST INFANTERIE UNIT IN 40K.
It's like a squad of captains with nemesis weapons.
You can't beat them.
They are just too strong.

Not so much in 6th edition. They get their asses handed over to them by SM Assault Terminators easily.

you fail to realise that you must take into consideration all potential they have: You look at them only from close combat perspective but you forget about their ranged weaponry. They indeed are one of the best if not best infantry units in 40k because they have everything(they are tough to kill with 2+/5+ and fnp, they have great cc potential and also ranged potential).Β And while true, thatΒ thunderhammer/stormshield termies would win in cc against them, smart player would keep distance from them and kill them with sheer volume of shots of their storm bolters and psycannons.

now this sounded little offensive so sry about that. What I meant to say is that what makes paladins so great is fact, that they can deal with almost any situation you throw at them. they have in their kit answer to everything you need and that versatility is what makes them top tier unit.
