Manjee is the name given to the traditional "cot" type bed of Pakistan, that he is sitting on.
Traditionally, the structure was made of wood and the four legs would be often ornately carved. A small mattress is usually placed on top before sleeping.
These days It is rare to see the traditional decorative carved and often colorfully painted manjee.
