Description
This is Suchodon, another of my kaiju. He's a huge, reptilian chimera created by the EDF through genetic engineering to fight off attacking kaiju. His primary genetic donors are a Komodo Dragon and an alligator, with a hint of Gila Monster thrown in. His primary colors are dark green with a pale gray underside.

Height: 80 meters
Length: 226 meters
Mass: 40,000 tons

All of his primary weapons/defenses/abilities come from the reptiles which from which he recieved the majority of his DNA.

Alligator:
-Suchodon's jaws are immensely powerful, capable of crushing all but the strongest of armor.
-The armor scutes on his neck and back provide him an extra degree of protection, especially against piercing and slashing attacks.
-His powerful tail can propel him at speeds up to 80 knots and he can remain submerged for extended periods. Transparent nictitating membranes cover his eyes to protect them when he goes underwater.
-His extremely advanced circulatory system allows him to sustain horrific wounds which would cause most monsters to bleed to death. The severed blood vessels around the wound close off to prevent much blood loss.

Komodo Dragon:
-He has three massive claws on each hand which are made all the more dangerous by his powerful arms.
-The vomeronasal organ located on the roof of Suchodon’s mouth allows him to detect the faintest of smells by flicking his forked tongue out and then touching it to the organ.
-His immune system is nothing short of amazing. It targets and destroys any kind of infection with incredible speed and efficiency. So basically, he's essentially immune to disease, be it caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi, whatever.

Gila Monster:
-Suchodon possesses neurotoxic venom. It is not directly injected, instead it flows along tiny grooves in his teeth, meaning it must be chewed in. This venom also has hemorrhagic properties, making the wounds inflicted by his teeth bleed for extended periods.

Now, as for the picture itself, I gotta toot my own horn for a moment and say I'm quite proud of it. His neck is scrawnier than I would have liked, as is his torso to a lesser extent. But by the time I realized it, it was too late to really do anything about it without making it look like crap. And yes, the scutes were a pain in the ass to do.
