Very nice sir, I applaud the overall piece. Very moody, very striking, very good.

I'm glad the mood came across clearly. I decided to try using unconventional colors to enhance scene, mood, and lighting instead of doing everything exact colors and just highlighting excessivly.

Glad you like.

Thanks again. I'm not quite happy with the chains, mainly because i wanted to add a rusty tecture, but I'm definitely glad with the shape, flow and color.

Any suggestions on how to do a rusty, scale texture?

wel, this entire picture is really smooth. It seams like there wouldnt be room, or rather it would look out of place how i would do it. But I would but i heavy grain filter on the rust color since it's really rough. but, since it's more or less a digital painting, i'd say try a speckle brush. Kinda like the one I used on the Eylen Picture for the cliff-side. The way you have it it looks like the chain is naturally bronze color, ore just really heated (even though there's no real glow to it). Both are still really cool. Even though i know chains do rust all the way aruond the metal, depending on what stage it at, keep in mid, it rusts where meatal touched meatal first. I have various examples around here if you want to take a look at them. Just leat me know, I know i have fully rusted chains somewhere, as well as partially rusted. and also--shading excluded--rust has various colors. I do see that you have implyed that, but it's also more golden in color. Really it should be more gritty and closer to a brugandyish brown type color. (i dont really have rust infront of me so it's kinda hard for me to say) JUst a thought...

Yeah... the few texts that doccument them all mention chains, both as metaphors and literally, but never how they are related. They don't speak of them being bound, or the stereotypical, 'sound of draging chains'... but all eye-witnesses always mention them. So I figured i'd impliment them in a macabre sort of style, neither draging or binding. To symbolize weight, and or agony...
