For some reason, I'm reminded of the movie Unbreakable.
The scene where Samuel Jackson is in the comic store and the guy at the counter says, "Hey, you better not be jerking off to those Japanese comics. D<".

Yeah, I'm supposed to be involved with the synesthetic book, but I dunno what I'm gonna do for it. I like what you are doing so far. Is this gonna be longer? Have you been to any of the meetings?

this isn't gonna be any longer, but I actually have something I'm planning on drawing with Chris writing. Also, I agreed to do chapter breaks after everything is in. And yeah, Jake and Luan live just about a block from me so I go to every meeting.

Hey, that's great! Your stuff is hilarious so I'm stoked to possibly have work in a book alongside yours. I asked Jake to show my work at the Richardson meeting this weekend to see what writers would be interested. It'll be my first crack at sequential work in my realistic style. I'm hoping to do something witty and funny, but'cha never know. I'd like to do some dialog between two characters Kevin Smith style, but I have no idea what the writers have to offer. I need to make it to the next Denton meeting fo' sho'.

I kinda missed out on whatever it was that was happening at the Richardson meet, because I woke up too early in order to make it. It was the biggest meet I'd been to, though. Lots of people there. The only stuff that was passed around was completed pages, though.

Since you've had a chance to get an idea of what's going in the book, could you gimme an overview? Alot of cartoony styles or humorous work? Or a mix of everything? I really do wanna make it to the next Denton meeting whenever they announce it.
