At the risk of sounding as if I were expert, which I'm not, I want to say I like especially two things about this drawing. The first is the hair colour and I can see that you put your heart in the details of it. And secondly, the lineart quality. I see a little of line-weight, I'm just starting to learn it myself, it's tedious but gives artworks such a nice look.
It really stands out you've improved. My little big girl. I'm secretly, and not so secretly anymore, very proud of her. (that does make me sound old, huh? xD)
Perhaps this breaks of art are helping you develop more in each piece you can do? If it is so, I'm loving it!!

i think not drawing as much allows me to put more effort when I do draw.

I think I can see it! Sometimes when I restrain myself from say, playing games, I think of strategies and possible outcomes and stuff like that, so when I do get to play, I am much better.
