Description ...catch a sphinxy by the toe. And it will tear you to bloody pieces.

Gee, i did this drawing more than a year ago, now it's finally colored. Simple shading and simple background.

Desert centaur trying to bind a sphinx with leather straps, it better be worhty 'cause he's going to end up with some nasty scratches.

Very nice drawing.
Nice figures, nice action.
Why depreciating it with an inadequate background? Sometimes it's better not to background at all.
These characters being from the Greek mythology, the epic sideview and the sharpness and stylisation of your drawing remided me the greek amphoras. I tried something with a texture and an even simpler background. I think it gives more justice to their strength. quickly made, you could do it better.
Maybe the color will appear a bit too saturated on your screen, in that case just desaturate a bit and tell me what you think of it.

Got your point. Hey no worries it was just an idea. i just gave an opinion based on my own tastes ...you know me i'm a heavy-contrast addict. Black, white, and few colors, mostly within the same color scheme. doing something coherent and relevant with several color schemes is difficult. I understand your point, however i think you mean more a "cartoon" or "animation colors" look. For the variety of graphic and coloring styles present within the world of comicbooks suggest there is no "comic look" whatsoever. I saw great comicbooks made through most varied and inventive ways.
Concerning my apparent inactivity let's just say I show less but work more. Someday you'll see. Probabely not on DA. take care and say hello to your brother.

Yes, stupid me, Cartoon/Animation colors, that's what i meant, i misused the word "comic", srry.
Yes! I hope one day i'll get to see it, if not all, at least the result of such extensive and intensive work!
