Sinagot na ni jamaykel yung question mo. Hehe! Anyway, sa Manga Studio kung san ko siya ginawa uses the same idea. Pen tool pa din ang ginamit ko to draw the white lines on black. It's like erasing rather than drawing the lines.

you could use a white pen to draw the lines. fill the area with black first tapos drowingan mo na ng white for the small folds..
