This is really good, like the reflection in the wave and the curl of it. Really cool!

I'm thinking going on 2 years.
I live in Buffalo, NY. There's a story to it. But I'm not a good story teller. Short version. I grew up in So Cal. Surfed my brains out in North County San Diego. At one of those weird turning points in life I ended up going East to Buffalo instead of West to Hawaii. Didn't surf at all for 25 years. Then I started surfing on the Great Lakes (Yes. It can be done [link] ) and taking trips to Hattaras, Jersey, and Long Island. Then life got in the way again. I REALLY need to get back in the water. So I'm gonna start working out again and do the Great Lakes/East Coast thing again in the fall.

Hubby surfed Lake Michigan? Cool. I surfed lake Erie once in January just before it froze. The slush in the water was acting like kelp and it smoothed out all the chop. These nice little (waist high) peelers were coming through. We were getting ice buildup on our boards and when we got out of the water we had ice crusted all over our hoods and shoulders so we couldn't get out hoods off. Good times in a way only another surfer could understand.
Yup. I need to un-fat myself and get back in the water.
Glad your hubby's doing better.
My lack of motivation with Impact Zone may have something to do with seeing waves makes me REALLY want to move back to the ocean.
Cheers!

I plan to retire in Hawaii. Then I can make up for lost time. I'm a bit of an old fart (51) so I'm hoping not to have to wait too long.

Yeah. We're classics alright!
We'll see if I actually make it to Hawaii. A beat up trailer on the Big Island is all I need. The wife wants nicer digs.
I did the ESA thing a few times. Never made it past the first heat in Hatteras.

I'm impressed! You're getting really good at painting. Drawing and painting are always something I wanted to try, but could never get the hang of, so I'm always pleased to see good art.
