The title was inspired by this song- [link]A commission I got on Gryffs, his name is Kenjin
Wanted to do a space scene, haven't done one since the Maggock picture. I definitely improved on coloring, he actually looks like he's in space now.His owner wanted me to add a bunch of rose vines and leaves to him but it made the design really busy, so I'm just uploading this version cause I think it looks better XD;
Oh yeah I like the way the wings came out as well.
What do you guys think of the shading tho? Should I have gone darker? It's a bit better then my Octavia pic I think...

Kenjin looks so cheerful and happy, I really like his expression and pose, it's just so well...cheerful ^^
Also, yeah, the shading looks much better now, there's a lot more depth to it here.

I'm thinking you could add the vines if they were kept loose, such as far from the body and just draped loosely around the paws and/or wings and/or tail. Keep them dark and barely noticeable and you'd have an interesting border that won't overcomplicate the view of the character itself... at least I think that'll work. I'm hardly an art expert!
Of course, I don't think it even needs that. The question is whether or not the commissioner still wants it.
And I also think the shading is perfect, by the way.

I just liked it better without em, the green was a bit too distracting to me, I like the grey and blue theme in this version

well with darker shading, that implies harsher lighting.. having the shading be softer/subtler works better for space, I think.

Naw not really like a horse, they have a bunch of joints in their legs but his are really stiff, it only bends at the 'knee' part and it moves up and down a bit on his elbow, but not much. When he runs the just swing back and forth like pendulums, they don't really bend at all
