My step father has been an important part of my life, he met my mother when i was 7 and has been part of the family ever since. he joined the navy when he was 17 and travelled the sea for many year, he fought during the The Suez crisis in 1956, after the Navy he worked on fishing boats, acting as ships cook and has always been a great lover of the sea. During his life he has been Homeless travelling the country and the streets of london, he has been a resident of Her Majestry Prisons, only to do with charges of theft. He then landed in Oxford where he settle down with my mother, he work in the local parks for over 10 years before retiring with health problems. My step father has seen the world and back, he would tell his life from the navy, the prison life and the streets, never glimorising it but also giving us the true idea of what realities our out in the world. He has given me strengh and has care for my family so long, i know now what effect he has had on all our lives. He now enjoys life sitting in his garden in the summer and keeping my mother company, they are both important people in my life.
