I honestly don't care if it makes me less popular, either.I had a friend who got suspended for a week over a situation that wasn't even a real copywrite violation, the mods decided to ignore the permission that's given by the owners of the program. (X-box live.)
So now I report all the real violations I see, because if the mods are going to ban a good deviant over a misinterpretation of the rules, I'm going to call to their attention all the REAL violations out there.

The OP misspelled "copyright" but in a nutshell, they report copyright infringement or art theft. Art theft is pretty much the pretty sister of plagiarism in writing.
For example, some kid comes on dA and says "I dru dis!!1!!1!1111!!!!1 Fav, leik, comant! <3<3<3<3<3" when the picture was uploaded to the internet over 3 years ago and the real artist is off-site (one can find this information using a reverse image search if the image is suspicious looking.) Or the person just uploads something that they didn't make/help make/didn't ask permission to use, that is still considered art theft because dA automatically places a copyright on all of your deviations. Doesn't matter if you don't claim it or give credit, you should always ask to use another artist's work when you can.
However, fan art ≠ art theft (since fan art is a whole different topic.)

do you report "porn" too? I'm right now involved in a debate on what porn is, why is/isn't it bad, and the relativity of rules. there are some very immature users who hunt down good deviations with the least bits of sexual/sexy content and report them... two of my stories and many of my friend's drawings fell victim to this, and given that the purpose of these wasn't the mere display of sexuality, i find this a human rights infringement. same thing happened to my cutting photo - while all the cutting pics that say "fake" in their description, no matter if they're really fake or not, can stay right there.
it seems every dev needs to be tuned down AND have a mature warning now. "deviant" has gained a new meaning of "cowardly, complacent, restriction-obsessed bastard"?

Honestly... I love artistic nudes. I like the human body is beautiful and fascinating... everything from the perfect to the ugly, there's a power in baring one's body and soul for the camera in artistic nudes.
PORN on the other hand, I report constantly. There IS a difference.
My opinion is that is an image is intended to evoke emotion, interest, intrigue.... Even startle and shock. It is artistic nudity. Porn are images taken with the express intent of being masturbated to. You can show sexuality and even sex in a way that's meant simply to evoke emotion, even if it is arousing, and it's not porn. It becomes porn when that's ALL it's there for.
