Hi everyone!

This is a digital painting based on scene I observed while driving through rural Minnesota this past summer. I was struck by how richly green the landscape was. A lone farmhouse stood amid vibrant rolling hills which led me to imagine what life would be like to live there, time passing by, an abundance of life all around. I couldn't help but commit it to memory for later. Vast landscapes like these remind me that we're all small, come from the land, and are somewhat like passengers on earth, as life could easily carry on without us.

The process for painting this took about 3 hours all together. I committed to being quick, colorful, and expressive, rather than agonizing over details. I hope the spirit of Minnesota's vast agricultural lands gets across to you, especially in these somewhat lifeless times. I wanted to highlight the abundance of life, and the abundance of greens. Done in PaintTool SAI using a Wacom Intuos drawing tablet.

The plants you see are not actually primroses, which are native to Europe and Africa. But I needed to carry my streak of alliterative titles. Let me know if you can think of a better one!
