I've always been a fan of fire-types.I was pretty much inspired to do this by the old school Pokemon battle theme. The anime version is called "Burning Battlefield".

That does look like a fun contest! Although I don't normally do too much Pokemon art, it seems like a good opportunity. However, I have been fairly preoccupied these days and have been lacking in updates. I will still take it into consideration though!

As I mentioned in the description, the music was my main inspiration (as music is for most other stuff I do). So I really wanted something dynamic or intense. I haven't done too much Pokemon fanwork so I had to search the internet for references (especially Typhlosion as I haven't seen him since my G/S days lol)
