Description i drew this in my 5th year of highschool for my portraitsclass. i did this with 'conte' (that are some kind of crayons) , i dunno how to call it else.
conte crayons are a pain in the *ss to work with.
The original photo was made by Anton Corbijn (Brilliant artist). We had to draw portraits out of books to practice with different materials.

art is Β© to me

I know what you're saying about contΓ©... I had to use it in an assignment, so I took a kitchen knife and shaved it into a point because whenever I'd put a line down it'd end up somewhere other than where I wanted ( stupid rectangular prisms...). But, on the other hand, I do like the way contΓ© looks. Especially on this piece. The contrast is fabulous, and I like the subtle shading/highlights. Very nice.

nice respect for the difference in physical features- it's obvious in more than just the coloring, the structure in the two faces are faithful to the racial aspects of your figures.

Thats a beautifull drawing. Great work.

Yeah, I just call them Conte Crayon. For some reason when poeple say crayon I think of Crayola even thought I know they don't mean that.

This is absolutely beautiful. I love the way you drew this; the shading is so simple, not elaborate, and yet it is still so detailed and anatomically accurate. The two profiles make for a really nice contrasting balance. And, despite their differences, they both are so beautiful.
