i like the contrast of the rough texture of the lanscape and the soft look of the water. perfect use of long exposure!

Yes! I used an ND400 filter. It darkens 9 stops, so that you can use really long exposures at daylight

Also... I was thinking that maybe if a lot of photographers complained directly to Hoya, for discontinuing the filter, they might re start production sooner!

maybe another producer like marumi (or do the also belong to Hoya?! ^^) will produce a similiar filter...

Strange thing... NDx400 is there on Hoyas official website. Maybe you could try asking them in E-mail, if they can send you one, and if they really discontinued production.
