Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I start all my paintings in grayscale. Then I use color layers for most of the painting then I use multiply for the highlights and overlay to use for atmospheric perspective. The sand around the skeleton is a dissolve layer set around 5% and then I use the pen tool set to elliptical for the bigger spots around the sand. Finally I go back in and use a normal layer and blend the parts that I need to. I hope that helps.
