this was diffrent from the rest of your gallery. it's far darker and more forebidding. just a thought but where you having a bad day when you shot this?

Heh, you know, come to think of it I was kind of in a bad mood when I was shooting photos of these trees.
Oddly enough, a lot of times when I'm intentionally trying to make something that is "darker" it just comes off as very cheesy. Guess there's something to be said for spontaneity.

when i looked at this one i said..."look a winter afternoon!bet that was a warm sun hidding
The contrast is wonderful and better yet the more i look at it the more it seems as if we are about to enter a dark hunted forest like in a fairy tale......mistery!!!!!^^
Balance is the key for this one i see.Nothing wrong with that...after all it lets us focus on the details of the trees and what a good focus that is!

I really like the trees in the photo, and actually think they might wind up inspiring a spooky illustration. I like your interpretation - I might have to give some thought to that as a possibility for the picture I want to do
