Today, I had to say goodbye to the sweetest cat I have ever had in my life. He has literally been with me most of my life, since I was born late May 1992. He came into our life when somebody placed him into our old VW bug during a renaissance festival. We named him Comfort because that is what he gave us, and he continued to live up to his name for the rest of our lives. He came when we were sick, sad, in grief, and would cuddle with us until we were better. His signature part was his front paw, as you can see, where he would either flip off the world, or it would be the ring of the godfather. He was the king of the house, no matter where we lived. He ruled the cats, he ruled the dogs, he ruled the humans, and yet, we loved him. Comfort, I will truly miss you, no matter what.
