I tried to get it to be like those lofi-pastel pictures. I tried. But yet again, I had to, I just had to put goddamn dark shadows there.Someday. Someday I will make a nice pastel pic.
Anyways made this for a song! My boyfriend made new song and I "offered" to make a picture for it. (Yeah I kinda just said I will do it and he got no say in the matter.)

But do you really have to do lighter pics?
I mean, maybe it's just my opinon but your characters usually look pretty serious or sad or angry but rarely happy or amused (it's not a flaw, really, I'm actually jealous of how you can put these emotions in their faces) and they do pretty well with your dark shadows. And when it comes to humans you usually draw them with pretty "long" faces (I can't word it #mypoorenglish ). Like, let's take that human Limestone Pie pic you drew not so long ago for example, if I hadn't known that the character is supposed to be female, I wouldn't have figured out that she is because of her long chin. Ok, long eyelashes kind of shows that she is but without eyelashes I really would have figured that out. Anyway, rather sad masculine characters with pastel colors? Meh? But don't get me wrong, go for lighter pics (especially since you actually have some nice light ones in you gallery already), you just sound in your description as if you thought that your dark artstyle is a bad thing and I don't think it is. Just my valueless opinion though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I felt like sharing it, hope you don't mind (why are you even reading this?)
Also, have I ever mentioned how cute it is that you make visual art and your boyfriend makes music

Wow, I kind of realized lot of things about my style while reading this. Like it's not like you analyzed me deeply, just pointed out that I tent to do long faces for "happy" people. Thanks
Anyways, yeah I maybe sound like that my dark style is not good, but I didn't mean it. More or less I just find myself often going "I want to use lot more lighter colors but make it feel like there is shadows still", and I always end up messing it. So call it a frustration. Like I like doing dark atmospheres, but sometimes I just want to do something else
