My first attempt at a stencil. 4 layers. 4 colors. Not 100% happy, but I'll get better with practice.Related content

from cutting the stencil, or spraying the paint or both?
tape around the handle of the blade works wonders. using your thumb instead of your finger for the spray can helps too.

The painting doesn't bother me. Years of playing instruments, rock climbing, and of course, art stuffs have strengthened my fingers pretty well. And cutting isn't really too bad...until you have to do as much cutting as it took for this stencil. Hours and hours. Plus my carpel tunnel kicked in and made it 10 times worse. I used tape, I used cushioned grips, I used oversized handles... It was just the amount of time that made it so bad.

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with it. The biggest problems were in spraying it. And I thought my hand would fall off before I finished cutting that stupid thing.

The picture hides the problems fairly well. There's a bit of underspray in a few places, and I didn't lift the blue quick enough so it looks like crap up close. When I spray it again, I'll do better.
