The headline attraction if you will of the West Midlands Safari Park is that they have a pride of white lions. Technically these are not albinos, and are a rare colour mutation of the Kruger subspecies of lion (Panthera Leo Krugen) - at least according to wikipedia...This is the male lion, who luckily for me decided to walk right past where we were so I was able to get a few good shots off - this is one of the better ones as it is in good focus, and he is looking right at me.
Taken with a Canon 7D and Sigma 120-400mm OS

Thanks, it seems to need a bit of luck though - for a while I couldnt even see him as he was sitting in the shade under a platform, then decided to walk over towards me.
Hoping to get back to the Safari park at some point this year

Sadly not, but I dont live too far away so its not too hard to go and take pictures
