Wow, you actually met the Buscemi?! When? Where? How? Man, that is so cool! That's the best kind of compliment since you've seen him in the flesh, thanks so much!!

Many thanks also for the faves!

Norloth In reply to JamieDMac [2007-11-26 13:10:32 +0000 UTC]

That's okay. And you're most welcome!

It was about three weeks ago when the whole crew were filming John Rabe in Shanghai. I went to the filming site and met him during their lunch time. Steve's role in this film is a doctor. And he is really a nice person!

This is also awesome. But speaking of Indie actors, how about a Bruce Campbell? *hinthint* XD

JamieDMac In reply to b0thaxx0r-makeup [2007-05-19 12:37:56 +0000 UTC]

Thanks!! Ohh yeah, I'd love to sculpt Brucie. But what character? Or just as himself perhaps? Speaking of which, have you heard about that new movie he's making called 'My Name is Bruce'? [link] Sounds awesome!

b0thaxx0r-makeup In reply to JamieDMac [2007-05-19 16:17:08 +0000 UTC]

Uh huh, sure have! I think I'd like to see him just as himself, perhaps pulling some smarmy Bruce-like face. XD

JamieDMac In reply to b0thaxx0r-makeup [2007-05-20 13:41:11 +0000 UTC]

Hehe, yeah, that'd be neat! A smarmy Bruce face. I'll have to find some pics.
He was bloomin' hilarious in Spidey 3! His best character yet out of the three me thinks.

Gigantopithecus [2007-05-03 14:23:18 +0000 UTC]

He definitely should have played spider-man. Fuck Tobey McGuire. Dan Aykroyd would have played Green Goblin and it would have ruled.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JamieDMac In reply to Gigantopithecus [2007-05-03 18:44:46 +0000 UTC]

That would be so fucking awesome!!! I can just picture Akroyd as the Goblin. What a beautiful image to be sure. hehehe

Tobey McGuire is one boring ass bastard.

I forgot he was in Big Fish. Can't even think what character he played. Need to watch it again, I'm sure I've only seen it once. Which is unsual for me only having watched a movie once.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BassManSTS In reply to JamieDMac [2007-04-26 17:41:33 +0000 UTC]

He played the poet Norman Winslow

Anyhoo, many thanks for the faves and the watch, I really appreciate it. You have some excellent works. I can't wait to see what other sculpts you've been working on. Those Disney pieces are stunning!

Lol! I think i heard that after 9-11 he went back to being a fire fighter or something crazy like that!

What a nice complement!!!! Your work is rock'n as well!!!

Peace!

JamieDMac In reply to KateMcBlair [2007-02-11 11:27:39 +0000 UTC]

lol Oh yeah, I forgot he did that. He was on tv the other night talking about that new Charlottes Web flick. He does the voice for the rat. lol How appropriate!

You're very welcome! I'd love to see what other pieces you've done. Do you still use that Polywax stuff? I was curious to know what it's like to work with, never heard of it.

And thank you once again!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KateMcBlair In reply to JamieDMac [2007-02-11 23:57:25 +0000 UTC]

Yeo i still use it! Its polywax15 i think. I get it from a place called Polytek.com
It is the easiest to get a nice finish on IMO.... BUT it takes forever to block it out and also you kinda have to get used to burning your hands with hot wax.
If i need to block something out quickly i just use castilene [link]
but it is harder to get it to have a nice smooth finish.

Using the wax, though, is TOTALLY different than sculpting in clay and after years of using the wax i have totally forgotten how to go about using clay anymore !!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JamieDMac In reply to KateMcBlair [2007-02-12 23:30:55 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I know that feeling. I've been using nothing but casteline for the last couple of years. Whenever I try doing something in a regular clay I just can't work it. I've gotten so used to not working with armatures anymore.

I've been wanting to give some of these waxes a try [link]

Sounds like some of them have the qualities of casteline but with a harder finish as a wax. I dunno.

Cheers.

Oh man im glad im not the only one who has forgetten (or left) the way of the clay LOL!
Cool link! I will have to give these a try!
