Description Centurion Tom strikes back! But Jerry the Maus got pumped. And brought some friends.

...

Giftart for . Hope you like it. Along with the title, of course

...

To sum up: 3 hrs of sketching (my final sketches are detailed linearts) plus about 3,5 hrs of shading is 6,5 hrs total. But stretched into few days.

Traditionally - HB sketch, 4B shading.

...

Regards,
Tom

'scuse me, how is this related to Tom & Jerry? (Other than a pun I most obviously don't understand)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JanBoruta In reply to CidolfasSilverwing [2008-12-07 16:30:03 +0000 UTC]

It's because of nicknames given to nations by the opposing soldiers. The Biritsh called the German "Jerries" (phonetical similarity) while the Germans called the British "Tommies" (also because of their Thompson submachine guns, called "tommy guns")

Technically if the Germans continued to fight their Maus would have been completed and the Centurion would have been able to see more combat, being very new. This COULD have happened in 1946.

Apparently, this work is considered (also by me) rather poor...

Awsome job
That title makes me think, in the show Tom and Jerry, the mouse is brown and the cat is grey, and in WWII, the "Tommy" wore brown and the "Jerries" wore grey

Lovely. Great work on the figures. Always good to see a Maus (you should try drawing a Tortoise tank.).

Omg, not the Tortoise... Drawing it is not a problem but I would have a trouble how intense the battle should be so that tank is deployed
