Whenever I read I tent to read aloud in the characters own voices and accents, sometimes even mimic what's happening...
I tend to look kinda silly when reading so I only read if I can read alone...lol
I'm quite impressed with your chasing skills, my shading looks decent enough but yours looks quite a bit more real, it gives the objects a lot of shape!
