Summer isn't over yet!!.....at least for me.The slushie was supposed to be orange, but ended up being green after I added the background color.....totally not hinting at anything. Nope.
I'm fairly happy with the result, but I want to learn a more efficient and aesthetically-pleasing coloring style. Gotta work on that.

I really tried going for that painted look. It ended taking up much longer than expected but I'm happy with it. Maybe I need to branch out and search for new brushes/techniques to use.

I can see the different sharpness of your lining. Lapis whole body lining is sharp while her wings have more smoother lining, also nice little see-through effect with the wings, and the coloring.... BLUE!!! ‹3 Proud of ya, Jodykins.
Also, I give up. What is the hint with the slushy? I'm thinking of Peridot, but...

You're right, hahaha. I was gonna do orange but the background felt so empty that I had to add the warm-colored shape to bring more balance into the piece.
