This is the fifth design and second color palette. I swear I've been working on her outfit design for forever but I'm super happy with how it's finally turned out (even though I know I'm gonna change it SLIGHTLY again in a few weeks to match the arc she's currently in)! In case you haven't yet read her bio , here's the (updated) section on her hero costume:
Hero Costume: As in all things, Shiori prioritizes fashion and functionality. Her newest costume is designed to enhance some of her offensive and defensive capabilities.
- Tinted glasses: Because they look cool and she wanted them.
- Knee Pads: Equipped with shock absorption for when Shiori slides or lands on her knees for some of her moves
- (After Finals Arc) Support Gloves: Gloves that allow Shiori to increase the output of her "pressurized punch," allowing her to sometimes break through solid objects.
- Perforated Support Sneakers: Running shoes that have good traction and provide some protection for her feet by absorbing some of the impact and shock of falls from high elevations.
- They are also equipped with retractable wheels that allow Shiori to move a little faster by rotating the wheel away from her as she leans back. (In other words...the girl wears Heelys to escape her feelys!)

"Because they look cool and she wanted them" is the most characterizing, honest thing you could have put there. Haha. Well done. Not everything has to have some function or deep meaning, otherwise fashion wouldn't exist!

Lol thank you! Literally as I was drawing the outfit, I felt that her face was a little bare and I wanted SOMETHING to be there and I just felt like she'd really want tinted sunglasses just for the heck of it. I'm glad you liked that little tidbit haha!

It's so vastly different than the other outfits I'd had planned for her lol. Perhaps I'll have to make more OCs and give them those unused costumes.

I'm hoping to give Shiori a similar experience where she kept falling until she eventually learns how to use her Quirk to "master the art of Heelys" lol.

Aww i can even think of cute moments with Bakugou, Inasa and Kirishima!
Bakugou would yell at her for falling down for the umpteenth thousand time and that she should be more careful (and when she masters the Heely Jutsu he is kinda shocked she isnt falling down at first)
Inasa just using his winds to soften her landings when she does fall
and Kirishima just catching her when she does fall knowing its prone to happen

Lol, that's literally what I was thinking! I also have some reactions/interactions planned out for her and "Uncle Jeanist" too. (I haven't fully introduced everyone to how he fits into her story, but it'll be coming soon!)
But you can sure that the Heely mastering "montage" will be a WHOLE process, hahahaha.

I've been doing a lot of sketches of Best Jeanist to try to get in the habit of drawing him. I'm so ready to start drawing him with Shiori and the rest of her family. (And also with her and Bakugou, because he adds an interesting dynamic to their relationship as well.)
But lol I could see that! I also imagined that if they (somehow) managed to convince him to try Heelys he would be pretty good at it, since he's been canonically stated to be good at most everything he tries on his first try. It would be so frustrating to Shiori lol.

Lol. I'm glad you don't think I'm going overboard with it. I have so many pages written out of where she is during the canon story (because for the most part, she isn't involved due to her being at Shiketsu) and how she could "logically" fit into small places in the story or the lives of canon characters.
I think that's one of the things that I like most about her relationship with Bakugou—he really would be out of his element with her (as I'm sure he would be for most romantic relationships, even ones I've seen with him and other canon ships/OCs). But I love the idea of him trying in his own way lol.

Yeah i get that entirely me i personally develop alot of ocs and even plan out big moments for them by myself, some of which i consider to be good to me
Ive had a few ocs where they were the family members to side characters yet they got so much development (ie my oc Amu Jigoku/Lucilla Inger)
and i get that entirely!
And yeah Bakugou would seem like the type to try his all at love, but not know what he was doing
Like him aggressively going to hold hands or just getting pissed cause he didnt get a goodbye kiss (yes im referencing the headcanon you had for them!)
and just him being a bundle of loving anger!

Yesss! I'm so glad to hear someone else does that, although I'm not surprised, since I've already heard so much about the development you've given your ocs too! (Which is amazing, btw. Still in awe about how Buru's ancestry played such a huge role in a consequence his quirk has now.)
And omg! I can't believe you referenced that lol. That's one that I'm excited to draw eventually. That, and my headcanon of his hands doing a little sparky thing when he gets flustered by tries to deny it.

Honestly thank you, yeah i was inspired to develop Buru's secret family tree (his grandma's origin if how i worded it made things confusing) by the idea of a dark version of Christian figures with it being people with God Complexs trying to pretend to be gods due to their nature
And it was so much fun trying to develop the whole backstory behind how the family acted!
And thank you! hell ive even considered having Buru's grandma shipped with Gran Torino (and them having a tender moment when he discovers the scars that her father left all on her back)
AND yes!!! i loved that little headcanon! Just the mental image of him verbally (and quite possibly physically exploding) when she neglects to give him the daily dose of affection! i can see it happening so much!
Him being a explosive tsundere and all!

And lol. Bakugou's personality is just so much fun to play around with since he has so many emotions and yet so few ways that he chooses to express it. I always love seeing what other people come up with for their ships with him as well.

Yeah ive headcanoned that Amu was also someone who taught All Might, and still spurs the same reaction that he has towards Gran Torino (as she is quite ruthless when training someone)

Now adays she looks like a tiny elderly lady (like around kaybe 4ft something) but in her beginning days she was quite the lady (even around 6ft)

(the main reason she differs in size and appearance from her prime days is actually because she chooses to, she has more advance versions of her child and grandchildren's quirks within her, with her being able to maintain shapeshifting similar to Yoku even when shes asleep...its how she hides her scars from people...and she uses the shapeshifting to appear as a tiny old lady just so not many people are bothering her on her farm)

Yes! It was so funny in the show when he was nervous about even mentioning Gran Torino to Deku. And it would make sense that she has a more advanced version, considering they're branches off of her and have a mixture of their parents' quirks/genes as well.

yeah, she was once known as the #1 hero that looked like a villain for a long time, and one of the top 5 pro heroes
and a canon thing for the Jigoku family is that no matter what the offsprings will inherit a demon mutation, with the powers often varying

Yeah it was so good!! Plus AFO was really intense in that clip...just him thanking Nana for "wonderful comedy" is something so causally cold to say to a dying enemy
And just think a typical demon, Large demonic bat like wings, dark intense eyes with red pupils, a long and pointed tail, carrying around a whip and just having a scary demeanor when fighting (such as being slightly sadistic with her whip, or being one of the most fouled mouth ladies out there)

Yeah! he's one of my favorites cause of his treatment towards Tomura, his dialouge is so chilling and even the music used for him is haunting and elegant (its highkey why i shipped one of my ocs with him!)
and yeah she is actually someone who to friends is quite the beauty yet to her foes she is a terrifying menace
(she would often tease her allies due to her looks! With her being quite the flirt)

Yeah i dont think ive ever seen a ship with him actually! They have been allies since AFO's original reign of terror, with her having lost her only family to a vigilante, and her being swayed by his words and him interested by her conviction
She has been with him through it all (due to him giving her a quirk that elongates her life span, so she looks like shes around 45ish still good looking at that approximate age tho but is really over 100 years old)
and they got together at around i wanna say maybe after his initial clash with All Might, but around before Tomura was taken in by him, and she currently still is in love with him (and is a mom figure to Tomura!)

Yeah she shares traits with all of her family, her flirtiness with Yoku, her hot temper and foul mouth with her daughter Hauna and her kind and gentle side with Buru!
And thank you i wanted her to be someone who was quite powerful but had an unassuming appearance (until she decides to fight seriously)

Yeah Aijin's main influence was the villain Zira and her song My Lullaby from Lion King 2
And i tried to make her a sweet as possible yet as cold and deadly as one would expect from a villain who is the right hand to AFO
And yeah their relationship is one of a doting and kind mother and a edgy child, until TOmura starts to show growth as a villain then it starts to show that Tomura cares for Aijin like a mom, as she is more so impressed by the growth he's had as both a villain and a person

And thank you so much!!! I honestly feel a bit proud of how i designed her, cause i could actually see Aijin and AFO being in a bit of a healthy relationship, mainly cause her personality is a nice balance to his calm demeanor
(honestly i could see him being originally reluctant to show affection to her given how he and his brother turned out, and doesnt want to feel betrayed again)
