I find it interesting that the Sydney's Opera House plays with the horizontality of water but you decided to make a very vertical composition. Favorited!

Nice comp, just slightly off axis but very very effective. Wish the world would wake up to the fact that this cliche is not Ostralia (Its designed by a friggin dutchie fer gods sake) we have alot more to offer in the scenery stakes! Sorry to rant but it gets up my preverbial!

That is quite refreshing. for sure. The thing that I like about your particular photo is how it showcases the architectural curves and the way it reaches for the sky and is yet grounded. I adore the offset composition also. It quite grounds the photograph, and the gradient with the dark at the top balances the light at the bottom, so it does not seem top heavy, yet it is the detail in the opera house that grabs the attention. This is a beautiful portrait of a beautiful piece of architecture showcased in a way I have never really seen before. Quite well done.

That's great It lookes like some sort of an artificial plastic bug on this one. The vast space above and the gradiented blue add a nice feel. The only thing I don't like is the grain, but that's just IMO. A really good shot.

i'd say that i don't like those shadows on it very much, but.. i know that you couldn't really change the lighting, heh. really great photo. love the vertical-ness. it could make you think of many things.

I actually waited for the shadows , because i wanted the 2 Icons together without literally capturing them both because that the shadows from the bridge . hehe , but thanks for commenting.

I definitely like the way you took the photo. A wonderful sky linked with a supra-natural building. The colors are really beautiful. Awesome !

Your version is one of the better shots I've seen of the opera house - the gradient sky is really nice...

Wow, love the negative space and the gradient in the sky ... it makes the Opera look even more futuristic. And the black border does wonders for the contrast.

Great shot, gradient sky really adds to it, assume it was taken with a polariser?
