Materials and Methods
Nikon D80 + Tamron 90mm F2.8 + timer + IR remote. The mini rubix cube was hung with string. GIMP for post editing. Curves for color balancing. Added a blue layer set to Overlay. Darkened highlights.

My wrist look weird

I think your hands/wrists look slightly odd partly due to the perspective (hands much closer to camera than face) as well as the crop.
Great set up nonetheless!

I used a self timer with the remote. So my remote triggered a two second timer which leaves me enough time to drop the remote and pose

Awesome picture, I might be able to tell you why your wrist looks weird. Could it be because the picture is cut right at where it bends? I know many pictures look weird if you cut the picture just at or close to the joints.
Just a thought. But it's still awesome!

Yeah I agree but I was already at fairly slow shutter speed and ISO 1600 so I didn't want to make the aperture any smaller.
