Interesting idea. Annin looks pretty good here, though I think Tao Pai Pai has changed a lot. He looks sort of like a combination of Rhett Butler and a general from the Three Kingdoms era. It's still very good though; classic romance movie combined with Chinese lore isn't a bad theme at all.
I wonder what that RPG session was like...

Very sweet! The man looks like an emperor to me somehow.
You did a good job with the colored pencils, my favorite medium ^^

Me too, I'm using Crayolas. Though it left much to be desired. I have to go over my pic several times before the white spots would disappear. What are you using?
Happily I'm experimenting with pastels and combining them with color pencils. Messy, but worth it. Have you combined any traditional mediums?

i'm not sure exactly where the lightsource is coming from in this piece, because it does not look quite coherent...
i think you might need to do a bit more shadowing to make your work less flat.

Yeah, I'm working on shading. Any sources you could refer me to help me improve? Any tradition medium help sites?

i think there are plenty of books at your local/regional library, i don't have a site at hand, but what you may want to do also is to look at how objects are lit when the lightsource is from different angles, usually there are many sources of light in our environment, but when we draw, our object usually only have one or two light sources, if we had too many light source, the object will lose its articulations or details that we may want to emphasis. so try to use a table lamp in the dark, and focus it on a simple object/shape.
