The trick is to practice letting go of that inner critic-crafter and relax. What you write might not be any kind of bearable or acceptable, but call it a bit of a stream of consciousness exercise. It's actually real fun. :]
And failure = :death:
And a bit of this. Stuck in your head.
Can you think of a worse fate?

To do list:
1. Post another poem: "blue", "Apple sauce", "revolt", "drive", "dime", and "perestroika". Do I hear "sestina" anyone?
2. Write up another journal entry.
3. Don't mind creepy strangers telling you what to do.
4. Make sure you have a bunker for when the flesh-eating koalas take over the world.

Just to clarify, do I have to pick one of those words to use in a poem because I could totally use drive right now and blue shouldn't be too hard but I don't often come across apple sauce? I don't think it's that big over here, the same with dime, maybe it could be changed to penny? Also, I'm not a revolution, revolt sort of person and and and I have no idea what "perestroika" means hang on.
Main EntryerΒ·eΒ·stroiΒ·ka
Pronunciation:\Λer-Ι-ΛstroΜi-kΙ\
Function: noun
Etymology: Russian perestroΔka, literally, restructuring
Date: 1986
: the policy of economic and governmental reform instituted by Mikhail Gorbachev in the Soviet Union during the mid-1980
Wow, Gorbachev huh? Have to be honest, don't know that much about him either, last soviet russian guy, had a port wine stain birthmark eeeeerrrrrrm that's about it. Oh and he was in that Reagan speech, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!". My friends a history geek and she loves that.

Nope, you can use any one of them, two of them, three of them, or if you're really insanely masochistic, all of them.
Yeah, Perestroika was pretty much the fall of communist regimes and the fall of the USSR. They tried, but the soviet system went from stagnation to deterioration. Heh. Okay, I'm a hopeless history lover, I'll hush now.
But yes - take the words, shift them, shuffle them, make them your own and definitely make a poem out of them. I'm really hoping to see what you come up with. :]

I'm a lazy so-and-so. I've got something in the works, it's fairly large. Don't hold your breath.
