Terrified horses tend to kick. And given where Sleipnir's front legs are and, especially, his hind legs .... Next picture, two seconds later, has Thor on the ground, cradling both his nose and ... the family jewels.

Loke is the 'mum' of all the ones I mentioned.
The legende goes that the Asier (the gods) wanted to expand their main fortress but didn't have the man power to do so. They put out the call for help and a etin answered it.
They negotiated back and forth but settled on a deal: If he could build the new fortifications within a certain time(ridiculiously fast) he would get to mary The goddess of love and live in Valhalla, if not then he would do it for free.
The gods thought they had swindled the etin, but they hadn't counted on his Etin Stallion. The horse never tired, plowed more than any 24 normal horses, and could move loads of epic portiones. In short: the etin was going to make it.
The gods where at their wits end, when Loke said they should lure the horse away.
They tried several things, but nothing worked.
In a final desperat bid, Loke doned a animalpelt that made him into a mare in heat and that finaly managed to lure the stalion away.
The Etin couldn't do it within the time limit without the stallion and so ended up doing it for free. And Loke? Well he returned some months later with a eight legged foal, a wulf pup and a baby wurm.
Cant remember who he had Hell with.
He had three other children with the etin woman he married, one of them a gigant the other two looked normal but was very powerful warriors, though I cannot for the life of me remember their names.

I don't think Slipnir likes Uncle Thor much. Steve is really happy about a cheeseburger and Tony's like, "dude, it's just a cheeseburger."
