Description My first time seeing a white peacock in person. I've always wanted to see one! Did you know white peacocks are not albino? They are actually a colour mutation. I just learned that, maybe I'm just slow.

Nice pic!

Used to have a white male...He was just gorgeous when he grew in all his feathers. We had a couple colour mutations in our flock; like black wings with iridescent edges on males and multi-coloured white females. At one time we even had a male with golden wings.

Should have taken a picture of him...but he disappeared before I could. He was probably annoyed because we had so many males that he was at the bottom of the heirarchy.

Beautiful! I adore how you did the colors and the lighting is really gorgeous. It works perfectly with the white of peacock, which is not blown out at all, not even a little; it's perfect! You didn't miss a beat on the focus, either. Beautiful job! Where'd you see it? I know what they're called...something with an "L..." give me a bit and I'll come back to this.

Thank you very much! They just sort of had this random pen where there was a white pair and a regular indian blue pair of peacocks together (separate areas in one pen). No idea what it is called though!

Beautiful!
Once again, the focus is excellent, and the cool colours set a really different mood from your other pair of peacock shots... awesome!

I've never seen one myself lol

I was definitely not expecting to see one, I was walking around Frankenmuth and there was this random cage with these peacocks in it! I had never seen a white peacock, but they had a white pair, male and female!

Thank you very much!

I saw the "critique enabled" and I was going to write one, but I don't think I know enough about photography to properly write a critique on the technical stuff. So I'll just write a comment!

I love the small amount of focus just on the head; I think it highlights the most interesting part of these photos. I also like how you paired the two images. If it was just the profile, I would want to see the front view, and if it was just the front, I would want to see the profile. So nice job on that; the scale matches and it makes for a very pleasing pairing.

My favorite thing about this deviation, though, I think, is that it's in black and white. I just love the white color, especially on the beak and how it's just slightly different from the feather color. It gives it a really classic or timeless feel, and he looks so regal. The pop of the black eyes against the white also adds to the regalness (is that a word? )

Overall, I think the focus on the details of the head really make this work.

Ok, I probably did write enough to put it in a critique, but...I'll just leave it here

Haha, no worries. I am just thrilled you took the time to leave me such a wonderful and in depth comment! They are very rare.

Thank you so much, really!
