I read your comment below about how you could not let go and feel guilty that you let her suffer for your own sake. I did the exact same thing with a cat I loved very dearly, I just could not let go of him. He was 18 and had kidney failure - I did the water injections also and back and forth to the vet. It got to the point were he could barely hold up his head and that was when I finally listened to my husband and had my little baby euthanized. When he died in my arms I just lost it and had to be dragged to the car I was crying so hard. I was given the number of a grief counsellor for the loss of pets if you can believe it, and I ended up calling and she really helped me. It has been six years since then and I still cry on occasion because I miss him. I have another cat now of course, but no cat will ever replace my special little Bung.

Thank you so much and so sorry for the late reply! You are right, nothing can ever replace them, I probably should have seen a grief counselor, it would've helped me so much!

What a lovely tribute to Pixel. I got a 15 year old chihuahua he really aged he's got cataracts and mild pancreatitist I hate when pets get old

I am sorry, I know how u feel. I had a Maltese when I was little but he died less than a year later, he wasn't even a year old when he died.

Yes she was 17 years old, her organs were failing. I had spent a few months giving her fluids under the skin through an IV and feeding her with a syringe with homemade food. I feel like I held on to her too long now, that I may have prolonged her suffering, and it haunts me. She dies in my arms right after I decided to bring her to the vet to end her suffering. I won't make that mistake again. I think I was selfish with her, I needed her stay with me and in the end she didn't even know who I was. I miss her so much she was like an extension of my soul. I honestly feel like part of me is gone and I dream about her all the time. But it is getting better. I have three dogs now, they do their best to keep me entertained. They all act like toddlers and fight like sisters and brother!

Yeah it took me long enough! I wanted to make a facebook ad but I need a sample of a pet portrait, so I had to finish her really quick last night. I am glad you like her. Do you think her eye looks out of place with the rest of her?
