Kasia and her friend Hattie bein' all angsty and touchyMore experiments! I played around with a brush which made some cool hair textures, though I don't think I got it to match the paintier parts of the picture (even though I used the same brush). Oh well! You try things!

Ooh this is so lovely! The first part that really strikes me is the expressions of the characters, and the fact that they're both looking in the same direction makes me wanna know what they're seeing xDD Jokes aside, you've once again created a really fantastic mood in this painting. I'm very fond of the colors you use as well as the softness you bring to every part of the piece!

Oh gosh, I love to see these two together! They seem such a great friends. You're really mastering your unique painting style, I just can't take my eyes off from the work you've done with those clothing folds, not to even mention their hairr D8 
I'm already in love with Hattie too, she seems like a lovely person. So much love for those freckles! Even Kasia's arm hair - they are simply too adorable 8')

Yeah, I'm still finding ways to go about painting, but I learned a lot from this about keeping strokes painterly!

It's super lovely. The pale background gives it sort of a magazine cover illustration feel and really brings to attention the closeness of their overlapping poses. ^^
Btw, I'm just going to outright ask: is that hair on Kasia's forearms? I know a lot of gals with arms naturally like that so it just came to mind. Lovely paint strokes (and spots!) all around. Hattie's all like "Oh, doin' a thousand-mile stare, Kasia? lLet me see too...!"

It was nice to be able to focus on detailing for this one (have to be careful though, that's usually when my work starts getting tight).
Yes that is hair on her arms! I had trouble rendering the hair 'cos it managed to look lineless against everything else. I really like how the paint strokes came out though

(Iiiiii like to think everyone is entitled to at least one tight piece for every 5? 10? loose ones; it's hard to establish the rules if it's like a comic or doodle dump, w-whoops...)
Hm yeah. When in doubt, just have a REALLY amazing lighting scheme and that should overwhelm the lines anyway!
Makes me wonder (I kinda know next to nothing about what Kasia actually thinks about, come to think of it...!)

Besides both Kasia and Harriet looks wonderful here with all the soft colours and lighting. Love the gentle and calm gestures of the hands too!

Yeah, the gestures here are so beautifully subtle that if you have opened the frame and made a really polished background then that subtle aspect would have been kind of lost for sure. So good call on the cropping! : ]
