Description
Final Project for Senior Studio, an exploration of how we consciously or subconsciously associate sin with femininity, demonizing women in the process. The seven deadly sins as various mythological monsters (however I purposefully removed all the fantastical bits because, in fact she is just a woman, not something to be feared).
The siren, a sea nymph who lured sailors to their death with her alluring song.

Wonderful texture and lighting in this one! Sirens have always confused me; it didn't make sense for them to lure so many guys to their deaths when they could just use the pity ploy and snag the first sap they meet and let him live.

Ever notice that a lot of these "evil female monsters" are just the result of stupid men trying to fuck something they shouldn't and *gasp* getting punished for it for once! Oh no!

I prefer to think both sexes have equal oppertunity for stupidity. And each of the sins. I'm hardly absolving my gender, by the way. Being a stupid man, and if I may, lust does add to stupidity. Just saying that I've seen plenty of lustful women as well as men; in this day and age, as women are liberated socially, and can more and more freely induge in lust just like men.
