Here is, what i consider, the final version of this drawing. i enjoyed the minimal color and shading, but added more of a background and didn't leave anything "flat". I hope you like the additions.Last Version: [link]

Wow, leaving the backgroud white gives it an almost scientific illustration quality! Beautiful work, the colors are perfect and give it that deep sea look

One thing though, when you look at the full-size version, it kind of looks like she has three nostrils.

The face is very regal. Learning to follow the flow of the art is probably one of the most difficult things to do, but there are no lessons, no way anyone can teach this to you... you have to discover it for yourself!

I am glad to have had the practice with the grey and subtle color, i think that it is very pretty. I'd like to work with grey and purples next. a friend of mine loves purple and wanted me to make something (anything) for him.

*glee* they are actually these pens that look just like water colors. they move and seep into the paper the same way. but they are less messy to use. i highly recommend checking out tria or prismacolor pens.
