the author, Cornelia Funke, is German. I live in Germany. That means I didn't have to wait until it's translated into English.
I have no clue what it's going to be called in English, but the direct translation from German would be indeed 'Inkdeath'

To do the italics, but a < i > before the word, and < /i > after the word. Just take out the spaces.
