Thanks for your warm motivations on encouraging me to keep on going with the mini game and art project I have for Megaman Zero.
I really quite like Leviathan so I started with her. The previous art you saw of her is also for this game.For motivational purposes I have a sneak peek for you for the Leviathan Stage I've been working on. I will be updating this file every so often until she's done
What other sound effects are needed? Didn't want to overdo it.

What do you think so far?
I was thinking of:
- Having fewer ice mines to start with and having the shrimp give random pickup items of ice mines
- Having a few "golden" shrimp for more points
- Making custom sprites instead of official sprites. I do like the feel of the official sprites so I am impartial to this.
Megaman is really awesome and I quite enjoyed the Megaman Zero series.
This is really a shout out to Keiji Inafune and the Megaman fans...
Why this project? Because Keiji Inafune and developers mentioned they wanted to flesh the guardians' personalities more. There is a storyline and plot to this. Hope will have time and energy to keep making some more...

- Added Leviathan's "hyper" mode - when collecting crystals, she will become invincible

Known bugs:
- sound effect to notify users hyper mode will end soon keeps playing
- ice mines left by Hyper mode still follow through to the next game
- hyper mines left in 1st game also detonate
- normal mines left by 2nd game and after will carry through - blue crystals spawned from those will not be touchable and also carry through --> need to delete all invisible ice mines from previous game
- sound effect of hyper wearing off still carries through
- blue crystals are left to the next game when the Hyper mode is activated in the 1st playthrough
Fixed bugs:
- leaving ice mines from previous game will become invisible but detonate upon contact (score does not increase)
- glowy shrimp do not leave blue crystals (they should)

well, if you didn't stop as precisely it might play more like the water things in most games, but I don't know if that would make it a better game. Hyper mode was a really great addition, nice job!

Cool. I'm still working on adding features. I added a special shrimp worth more points.
Also Leviathan now has HYPER mode.
Just need to work on balancing haha

Haha awesome. I actually got 17 during my test run too XD. Going to polish Leviathan stage and will have Harpuia and Fefnir out in the next few months.

I love the dragon! I think she did have some when you were fighting her as Zero. And you also got them in MMZX when you have Model L.

Thanks!! I'm hoping to give each guardian a secondary attack. Leviathan's is cool because of the ice mines Space Invaders are awesome.
Any opinions on having custom sprites or more types of enemies in the level? Was there enough time to enjoy one level?

More enemy types would up the challenge and make it more interesting, so that sounds like a great idea.
There's nothing wrong with using the official sprites (saves time!), but if you can manage to create some with your own style it'd definitely help the game stand out (people would be able to glance at a screenshot and realize "hey, this is a unique game I've never tried before!"). The choice is up to you.
The time limit seemed solid to me. Perfect amount to just have some fun without being too drawn out. If you add in some additional enemy waves, I think you'll have people hooked!

Sorry for late reply! The "hyper" mode addition is cool! Lets a player just go crazy and race after all the enemies (and the shot looks wicked!). I dunno if I was lucky or what, but I seemed to get it often... I was practically in that mode the whole round, and ended up with 52 points!
